What blinds are best for Wide Windows?

With more houses having large windows to let in lovely light, there are times when it would be lovely to cover these windows. Luckily we have a wide range of options for windows depending on widths, so settle in and find out the best options for wide blinds.

Windows up to 2.4 Metres Wide

On windows under 2.4 metres wide you can install pretty much any type of blind, however blinds such as Roman Blinds and most Wooden Venetian Blinds have a maximum width of 2.4 metres and cannot be made wider than this. So, if you like this kind of look then you may need to consider having 2 or more blinds fitted to cover the window.

Wide Width Roller Blinds

We have a selection of wide width fabrics for Roller Blinds, and these can be used on Roller Blinds up to 3 Metres wide. In order to keep the blind stable and prevent bowing, we increase the size of the Aluminium Roller Blind tube and, subsequently, the Mechanism and the Brackets.

Using a wide width blackout fabric and only using one blind to cover a large window will reduce the areas light can seep in, keeping the room darker too.

Vertical Blinds

Vertical Blinds are a fantastic option for wide windows as these can be made wide. In addition over extremely wide spaces, such as bi-folding doors, 2 tracks can be butted together.
