Are bathroom shutters waterproof?
Our bathroom shutters are moisture-resistant, not fully waterproof. The Herm range is coated in ABS plastic, offering excellent protection against steam, humidity, and splashes. The Wisley range is also highly water-resistant, making both options ideal for bathrooms and wet rooms.
What’s the best material for bathroom shutters?
We recommend two specialist materials:
• ABS-coated engineered wood (Herm Range) – highly durable and wipe-clean
• Bonded wood composite (Wisley Range) – water and impact resistant with a real wood finish
Both are designed to withstand moisture and everyday wear far better than traditional MDF.Can I use wooden or MDF shutters in a bathroom?
We do not recommend MDF shutters for bathrooms. MDF can swell or warp over time due to humidity. Our bathroom shutter ranges are specifically developed to offer greater resistance in these conditions.
Do you provide temporary blinds while I wait for my shutters?
Yes, we provide free temporary blinds with every shutter order, so you’ll have privacy and light control while your custom shutters are being made and delivered.
