What is Shutter and Shade?

At first glance, it looks like a traditional shutter – but there’s more than meets the eye. Shutter and Shade features a much wider frame than a standard shutter, measuring 84mm. This increased depth allows for a tensioned pleated blind to be housed discreetly within a grooved section behind the shutter frame.

The pleated blind can be easily adjusted up or down to suit your needs and sits snugly within the frame, reducing light leakage far more effectively than standard shutters alone. While we never use the term “blackout” – as there will always be a little light around the edges – Shutter and Shade delivers excellent room darkening, making it a fantastic choice for light-sensitive spaces.
