Voice-activated blinds typically work using a hub, which acts as a bridge between your blind motor, your smartphone app, and your smart speaker. This allows you to operate your blinds using simple voice commands, whether you’re home or away.

Once your system is set up, you can say things like:

“Hey Google, open the kitchen blinds halfway.”
“Siri, raise the bedroom blinds.”

A well-known and trusted option, Somfy motors now work with Apple HomeKit (via the Tahoma Hub) as well as Alexa and Google Assistant. They’re ideal for full smart home integration.

EVE Motion Motors

EVE Motion motors are a hub-free solution that use Matter, the latest smart home standard. This means they can connect directly to Apple HomeKit and other compatible ecosystems, without the need for a separate hub.

Louvolite & PowerShade Motors

These systems require a hub to connect with smart speakers but provide excellent reliability and smooth operation. They’re compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, and – in some cases – Apple HomeKit.
