Pleated Blinds are becoming increasingly popular. Originally developed for Conservatory Roofs, most Pleated Blinds are designed with additional thermal properties.

Thermal Properties of Pleated Blinds

Most Single Pleat fabrics have a form of Solar Reflective Coating on the back. This coating helps to reflect out Solar Gain in the Summer and reduce heat loss in the Winter.

Cellular Pleated Fabrics, have a clever design which created an air gap, thus improving Thermal Insulation.

Both styles of fabrics have a wide range of colour options.

Operation of Pleated Blinds

Free Hanging Pleated Blinds

Our Free Hanging Pleated Blinds are connected to the top of the recess. Operated using either a cord lock and cleat system or the clever Smartrise system. The Smartrise system operates without visible cords and is Child Safe by Design

Motorised Pleated Blinds

Powered via Li-ion rechargeable batteries, it is also possible to Motorise some Pleated Blinds. Operated by remote control or, with the addition of a Home Hub, by app or smart speaker, Motorised Pleated Blinds are also Child Safe by Design

Tensioned Pleated Blinds

Tensioned Pleated Blinds have brackets holding the blind to the top of the window. Thin tensioning cords run down each side of the blind to small feet at the bottom, allowing the blind to raise and lower easily and stop in any position required. As the cords are held in place Tensioned Pleated Blinds are also Child Safe by Design.

Tensioned Pleated Blinds can be fitted so the fabric stack is at the top of the window, at the bottom of the window, or if prefered a Multizone Pleated Blind can be installed giving flexibility to cover any part of the window as needed.

Perfect Fit and Intu Pleated Blinds

Perfect Fit Blinds are a No-Drill or Screw option, fitted to each Windowpane, suitable for most UPVc windows. Using Pleated Blinds with these systems give a clean, uncluttered, and flexible option for windows.
