Lite Rise and Smart Cord Pleated Blinds are a unique and Child Safe approach to window blinds from Luxaflex. With no dangling cords or chains these blinds are the perfect choice for Childrens Bedrooms and Playrooms.
Luxaflex Literise Pleated Blinds
Made using the popular Duette Cellular Pleated fabrics these sprung pleated blinds can be raised and lowered without the need for visible cords or tensioning strings. Simply raise and lower the blind to the desired height using the slimline handle on the bottom bar. The clever sprung system in the headrail does the rest.
We have a lovely selection of Duette fabrics to complement any décor. Duette fabrics have a cellular structure which is ideal for creating an air gap, helping to keep rooms warmer in the Winter and cooler in the Summer.
Ideal for Room Darkening in Children’s Bedrooms
Literise Pleated Blinds are close fitting inside the recess, allowing much less light ingress than, for instance a roller blind, when coupled with a Luxaflex Duette Blackout fabric. In addition they are completely Child Safe by Design as there are no dangling cords or chains.
Luxaflex Smart Cord Pleated Blinds
Although Literise Pleated Blinds are a very clever concept, they are a little limited on size. This is down to the sprung mechanism making the blind unstable over a certain width. This is where the Smart Cord version takes over. This blind has a retractable cord which uses a pump action to raise the blind, ensuring that the cord remains at a Child safe length , rather than becoming longer as the blind is raised.
The Smart Cord Pleated Blind also has the advantage that it does not need to be manufactured with Duette Fabrics, therefore increasing the fabric choice vastly.
Both of these styles of Child Safe Pleated Blinds were invented by the Blinds manufacturer Luxaflex.
